I'm drawn to big ideas grounded in realism. My writing explores the human struggle and contradictions of human nature, often through ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances. However ambitious the concept, it's believable characters, strong dialogue and dark humour that bring the story to life.

I've been fascinated by film and graphic novels since my teens. My background is in fine art and creative direction, where I've spent much of my career developing original ideas and finding compelling ways to communicate them visually. Screenwriting is a natural progression, bringing together those interests, my creative experience and years spent developing my craft as a writer.

In 2020, I moved with my family to Doha, Qatar. With its ancient Bedouin heritage, high-tech urban sprawl and extraordinary mix of cultures, it's a place of deep contrasts. Living there and travelling more widely through Africa and Asia broadened my perspective and continue to inform the stories I write.
